Nueces County Community Action Agency offers its Employees an excellent benefit package:
Leave & Holidays
As an employee of NCCAA, you will receive twelve (12) paid holidays per year. In addition, you will accumulate personal and sick leave monthly.
Employees of NCCAA are eligible to participate in the agency’s medical plan. All employees must enroll in the plan or waive coverage. Coverage takes Additionally, there is an annual Open Enrollment period every November for coverage effective the following January 1.
Employees have the option to elect dental and/or vision coverage for themselves and dependents at competitive rates and coverage levels.
Life Insurance/ Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
NCCAA offers its employees a life policy for $10,000. Additional coverage may be elected during the first ninety (90) days of employment.
The Revenue act of 1978 created Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code that allows employees to pay for fringe benefits with untaxed dollars, such as medical, life, cancer, and disability insurance.
The Agency provides an employee retirement pension plan at no cost to the employee. An employee is eligible for the plan the month preceding their first year of employment.
