Infant/Toddler Caregiver
Birth-To-Five Head Start Program (Infant-Toddler Division)

Essential Job requirements:   Requires High School diploma or GED and a willingness to continue formal education when possible. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. Must successfully pass a physical exam. Must possess or obtain a valid Food Handler's permit and First Aid and CPR (Infant/Child) certification. Requires 15 hours of training annually to meet TDFPS requirements. Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license (Operators-Class C) and is subject to review/approval by insurance company on driving record. Must dress in appropriate attire with a neat personal appearance.
Salary:   $8.00/ hour- Plus excellent benefits
Employment Classification:   Regular, Part-time
Working Hours:   Monday-Friday; 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (In between operational hours)
Responsibilities:   Maintains open lines of communications with immediate supervisor, parents and volunteers. Assists Child Development Specialist (CDS) in implementing daily lesson plans. Assists CDS in documenting children’s files daily. Involves parents in educational activities to enhance their role. Provides materials and activities appropriate to child’s age and level of development. Serves the cultural background of the children using classroom materials, activities, and related languages. Promotes a high self esteem, is a good role model, and follows agency’s behavior management system and code of ethics. Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Early Head Start Director.
Location:   Corpus Christi - Del Mar Center for Early Learning
