Weatherization Specialist II

| Essential Job requirements: High School Diploma or GED with minimum of four to six years of technical training in building trades. May substitute related experience in lieu of training. Requires knowledge of building codes, building materials, and home construction. Must be able to use spreadsheet, word processing, and learn the Texas Easy Audit software program. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. Must successfully pass a physical exam. Criminal background check will be conducted. Requires a valid Texas Driver's License and willingness to use own transportation, if necessary, in course of performing required duties. Dresses in appropriate business attire and is professional in appearance and mannerisms. Proof of work eligibility must be provided. |

| Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. |
|
| Responsibilities: Visits homes and sketches a blueprint of home. Inspects home for holes and air infiltration by checking windows, doors, interior walls, partitions, ceilings, floors, attic, roof, and exterior of homes. Uses Blower Door Technology. Performs CEAP Audits. Maintains communication with subcontractors on carpentry problems encountered on projects. Assists in coordinating daily activities of subcontractors. Assumes responsibility for the monitoring and evaluation of subcontractor’s work. Assists in the upkeep and maintenance of Weatherization records. Performs other duties as assigned. |
