The Infant-Toddler Division of NCCAA’s Birth-to-Five Head Start
Program is commonly known as Early Head Start. NCCAA received the Early Head
Start grant in September of 2000 and is currently
servers 104 infants and toddlers and 10 expectant women.
Early Head Start focuses on what is known as the “Four
Cornerstones” of high quality program development: Child Development, Family Partnership Development, Staff
Training & Development, and Community Involvement. It is these four building blocks that provide the
framework for the services offered to families and children.
Early Head Start provides an array of services to children and
families in the areas of child development, disability services,
family support services, health, nutrition, mental health, and
parent involvement. |
